Funding for visiting scientists is provided by KIST's research budget and outside grants, including that of the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies. |

As of January 31, 2011, there were a total of 27 visiting scientists at KIST. |

- Nationalities: 2 from Bangladeshi,2 from Vietnam,10 from India, 4 from China, 2 from Thailand, 2 from Pakistan and 1 each from Egypt, Italy, Indonesia, Canada and France. |
