Era of new technologies changing human culture and lifestyles has been unfolding. Recently, securement of innovative core technologies through NBIC(Nano, Bio, Information, and Cognitive science) convergence becomes a mega trend for research and development in order to overcome limitations of conventional technologies. In order to create a world-first Coexistent Space where seamless interactive communication is occurred among human-robot, human-virtual world, and human-remote world, our research center aims to lead technology development of innovative human-centered robotics and natural interaction for coexistence by technology convergence of robotics, human-computer interaction, virtual reality and NBIC technology. Specially, as a base research center for Global Frontier Project on ‘Human-centered Coexistence Solution for Seamless Fusion of Real World and Virtual World’ which was launched in 2010 by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, our research center aims to become the world-best research group by close collaboration with 'Center of Human-centered Interaction for Coexistence' Foundation and by ground breaking-thru innovations of our own technologies on network-based humanoid, interactive multi-touch interaction, and intelligence.
